Charli Tapp

Visual artist and composer, Charli Tapp, born in 1991, is a European artist, currently based in Japan. Active through intimate, obscure, and scattered in-situ performances, movies, and context-based installations, his work behaves as a wandering in cultural interpolation and transposition with a para-political attitude. Utilizing a diverse set of tools and techniques, it explores crevices, rather than utilizing a topic-based perspective, focusing on paradigm shifts, cracks, and disconnect in the fabric of each situation, most recently he holding a show at MONO Lisboa (Portgual). His works periodically crosses paths with Space Caviar through collaborations among which organizing an experimental composition residency reclaiming a local crater in Italy, producing generative sound design for Biennale du Design de Saint Etienne (France), and scoring for the movie Blockchain screened at the museums such as the Vitra Museum & the Mudac (Switzerland), the MAAT (Portugal), and the The Metropolitan Museum of Art (USA).

noise

noise started his activities around 2000 and has produced his own works freely with numerous artworks. In 2013, he became a city designer for the fantasy city «Fellas in Town». By becoming an urban designer, he began to work on designs that were particular about not only abstract touches but also details. Although slow, Mr. noise’s style of gradually outputting his life to the work is a «natural» pop touch rather than an «original» style, which always makes everyone feel at home.

Quentin Chambry

Quentin Chambry is born in 1989 in Colombes, France and grew up in Rennes, where he started skateboarding and got involved in the local scene by producing visuals for videos and publishing zines. This interests lead him then to study graphic design. After graduating, he had the opportunity to move into a large house with friends, where they set up their studios and started developing their work in a playful atmosphere. They later decided to transform their garage into a proper exhibition space and organized during 5 years more than 30 events there by welcoming as many young french and international artists. This project known as Galerie 126, born from the simple desire to meet artists they admired through short residencies, generated intense exchanges that educated and enriched Quentin’s own artistic practice. His work is mainly focused on drawing, which he disseminates in particular through publications and zines, whether they are self-produced or released by publishers such as Éditions Peinture, Super-Structure, FP&CF or Nieves. His practice also extends to other mediums since painting, installation and volume work broaden his creative register. His work has been presented in personal or group exhibitions in different places in Europe and also Canada, Australia, Brazil or Japan where he currently resides.
